Pastor Ricky is anointed and gifted in many areas, but not limited to some of the following: an effective preacher and teacher of God’s word, a prayer warrior, and a musician and singer/songwriter. He has 17 years of experience in different facets of ministry.
He has a heart and passion for evangelism and disciple making. Pastor Ricky is consistently and constantly challenging and encouraging Christians to grow closer and deeper in their walk with Jesus or start one if they haven’t. He believes the church (God’s People) need to meet people where they are.
Pastor Ricky is currently working on a Doctor of Theology degree from Andersonville Theological Seminary. He has the following earned degrees: a Master of Arts in Religion from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, and Bachelor of Science and Associates degrees from Upper Iowa University. Pastor Ricky is the founding pastor of Crossroads Community Church in Red Oak.
He also serves in other areas in his community: he is the Chaplain at the Red Oak and Villisca Iowa Good Samaritan Societies, is a certified Montgomery County 1st Responder Chaplain, a SBC certified disaster relief chaplain, the President of the Montgomery County Iowa Ministerial Alliance, and the Executive Director of the Pregnancy Center of South West Iowa (PCSI).
His life verses are Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV): 5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Pastor Ricky’s personal ministry motto is: preaching the word, teaching the people, reaching the world for Jesus Christ in love, one life at a time!
Pastor Ricky and his wife Melanie have a total of seven children: Tobias, Ricky Jr. (R.J.), Izabella, Zoie, Zane, Zariah, and Zadriana.
